Allow the Vakhtangov Theater to perform L. Slavin's play A Foreign Collegium provided they observe the following conditions:

a. Change the play's title: instead of “A Foreign Collegium,” call it “Intervention” [Interventsiia], which fits the play's content.

b. Call the character of Marshal Franchet d'Espery simply a general, and not of the French army but a “general of the troops or army of the Entente.”

c. Toss out of the scene at French counterintelligence:

1. the taking of bribes by the chief of counterintelligence (mandatory) and

2. the taking by Ksidias the mother of money for turning in Communists (this is up to the theater, since there is nothing political in this).

d. Bondarenko, the head of the partisan brigade, should straighten up, giving him a more military bearing and reserve (Bondarenko, a sailor commanding revolutionary troops attacking Odessa, is much too slack).

In Bondarenko's speech, substitute “Entente” in the places about the French army and French command. Clean up individual phrases elsewhere in the play as well, replacing everywhere sentences about France and the French army with the Entente.

e. Cut Selesten's speech on the ship's gangway to a third in its propaganda section and throw out mentions in it of France, replacing them with the Entente.
