Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR: "On the Release from Sentence of Pregnant Women Convicts and Convict Women with Children of Preschool Age," GARF. f. 7523. op. 65. d. 107. l. 2, in Deti GULAGa, 426.

Secret
Release the following categories of detainees from the further service of their sentences:
1. Pregnant women convicts and women convicts who have children of preschool age with them in their places of imprisonment, except for those convicted of counterrevolutionary crimes, banditry, murder, according to the law of 7 August 1932, and recidivists.
2. Women convicts whose families include children of preschool age, on condition that they have served half their sentences at the moment of promulgation of this decree, excluding those convicted for counterrevolutionary crimes, banditry, murder, according to the law of 7 August 1932, and recidivists.
3. Establish that all persons released by this Decree from further serving their sentences, in the event that they commit new crimes, must be subject to the most serious sentences permitted by the law.
