Dear Maya Rudolfovna!

In reply to your application, I inform you that, in conformity with Article 1-1 of the Russian Federation "On the Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression" of October 18, 1991, children are considered victims if they were with their parents in locations of imprisonment, exile, deportation, in special settlements. The fact of children's presence in exile with their parents must be confirmed by documentation.

Unfortunately, the Main Information Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Information Centers of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs for Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Region, and the Directorate of Internal Affairs for Yaroslavl Region do not contain any information about your presence in exile with your mother— Nosovich Antonina Konstantinovna, born 1898.

To decide the question of your rehabilitation, I advise you to send to us at this address documents confirming your presence in exile from February 20, 1938, until February 1939 with your mother in the city of Danilov, Yaroslavl Region (for example: school reports, reports from visits to a doctor's clinic, receipts from the local bureau of public works or repairs, and so forth), if you have such documents.

In the event you have no such documents, you can, according to Article 7 of the law referenced above, apply to the district court of your residence to establish, on the basis of witnesses' testimony, the fact of your presence with your mother in exile and then apply to us again with the court's decision.

I am sending you the certificate of rehabilitation for Nosovich A. K. and returning unverified copies of your birth and marriage certificates, and the certificates on the rehabilitation of Yakson, R. E. and on the recognition of M. R. Levitina's suffering due to political repression.
