The German Communists have produced a document, published in the foreign Communist press, in which they expose the imperialist plans of their bourgeoisie and put forward the banner of peace, peace without territorial seizures and war indemnities, without the enslavement of some peoples by others, a peace based on the free expression of the will of peoples in determining their own fates. C[omrades] Pieck and Florin are raising with us the question as to whether it might be advisable that the German Communist Party put forward the demand of the confiscation of war profits, nationalization of the banks, major trusts, and concerns in order to shift the burdens of the war onto the propertied classes and ease the difficult situation of the workers and peasants.
