We are pleased to announce some exciting new features to the Stalin Digital Archive that have just been released to the website. These updates improve your searching, browsing, and content access. Like what you see? Have more ideas for improving the site? Let us know by contacting us.
A new advanced search screen helps start you off on your search through the archive by directing you through the various options. Don't have a keyword? You can also just select a date range, subject, name, or collection to start your search. As always, you can refine your search on the search results page.
An improved design for the search results page makes refining searches easier, as well. Selected a search facet now automatically adds the search refinement to the listing of current search factors at the top of the search results.
The updated browse page shows you where to find content that has been editorially curated. This is a good place to start to find out what topics are covered by the SDA, which material has been transcribed or translated, as well as view some editor projects.
The redesigned Document Viewer has a cleaner look and is less distracting. A new Table of Contents in the Document Viewer appears as a slide-out bar to help you understand where you are in relation to the previous or next document within our archive.
